International waters, New Zealand, and the Cook Straight

The New Zealand custom place on iNat covers most of the country. However, it is placed close to the landmasses, and doesn’t include NZ’s territorial waters. These should extend out 12 nautical miles from land. Could we move them to include the territorial waters, or at least to include the Cook Straight?

I bring this up as some of my entries for the ferries on the Cook Straight don’t show up within the New Zealand boundaries, when the Cook Straight Ferries really ought to, I think.

on iNat, standard places like countries come from GADM, so that is where the current NZ borders on iNat would have been derived from
