So I’ve come across a couple of users who set the location to the state, meaning that the accuracy radius encompasses that whole state. Technically the location isn’t wrong, as the actual location would be within the radius, but are these observations still eligible for research grade, or should the location be marked inaccurate in DQA?

I think the DQA would only be appropriate if you thought that the observation was made outside the state.
