On the widget my observation are given all kinds of local names: some in English, some German some Dutch. What is determining the localisation?

Hi @gvmelle, welcome to the iNaturalist Forum. I moved your topic from #feature-requests to #general as the blog widget is no longer being updated.
I believe the name displayed is based on the species_guess associated with each observation; someone else should be able to help explain exactly how that is selected.
