Lost images when after cleaning out my camera-roll iPhone

Hi there, I am not sure if this is a bug or working as expected.

I took a few photo with the app. All looked great. Later I was in my cameral roll and deleted the pictures there. It looks like they were the one the app was using?

Is there a way to save where the location of the photos go? Is there an option to just save a thumbnail of that photo for the app listings?

Are you using Seek or iNaturalist?

I am using the Seek app.

Currently, Seek uses the photos stored on your device, they are not copied into the app. So yes, if you remove them from your phone’s gallery they won’t show up in Seek.
