I recently updated several taxon range maps. Even though they were improvements over the range map that existed (I hope), I felt guilty deleting someone else’s efforts. Could an implemention be made that keeps the previous KML files that are replaced, and make them available as a list of previous taxon range maps (to allow for reversion to a previous one if warranted)? That way, nothing is actually deleted. And allow current and previous KML files to be downloaded for revision? And maybe request a description of the sources of data used to generate the taxon ranges?
