Map and location name not corresponding

This user has posted few observations from Brazil and one apparently from Rome (Italy). The point is that the observation from Rome is of a Brazialian plant and, despite the map is centered on Rome, the name of the locality shown is Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil):

What could have happened? Why the map and the name of the location are not corresponding?

All five of the observer’s observations were added today, so the observer would likely have good recall of the steps taken in uploading–I would start with asking the observer about that.

locality notes and GPS location can be manually edited/made different, whether purposefully or accidental. without more details it’s not possible for this to be troubleshooted by a 3rd party
