More than one associated observation

I often make use of the “associated observation” observation field to associate galls, mistletoes with their hosts.

I seem to be able to make only one “associated observation” per host. How do I deal with it when I have both a gall and a mistletoe or two different mistletoes in one tree?

Thanks

You can use the “Related observations” (plural) observation field, which lets you add the URL of each related observation. But I do it differently, because I started long ago and never switched over, and because it works for my mental flow. In the description/notes for each related observation, I include a list of links to the other observations, with a mention of which is which. Check out this observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/320799186

You can use a semi-colon to separate the links (eg https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/327676402 ; https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/327681270 )

Edit: These are just random observations of mine; they don’t contain the observations fields being discussed.

Also, I use both the Associated Observation observation field in conjunction with jbecky’s suggestion of listing the links in the notes, because people don’t always scroll down to where the observation fields are.

Thank you.

Thanks you. I do tend to include the links in the notes as well.
