Yeah, elephants and penguins came into contact at least in the recent past, although I don’t think they do anymore.

I have seen the elephant - Addo National Elephant Park
And there are penguins nearby - altho we didn’t get to see them.
That would be just North of Gqeberha on your maps.

But if it is an Asian elephant? No penguins. So, no joke.

PS we have penguins in Cape Town, but the elephants were hunted down.

No doubt that’s what spoken to a lot of naturalists at a lot of parties.

OTOH, the revelation of the actual facts of nature can be a rich vein of humour, as demonstrated in many of the examples here.
