Nature-inspired Comics?

And another of my favorites from Larson:

The funny thing about “Andre” is that that is the name of the anthropomorphic snapping turtle character in the game Pharaoh Rebirth +.

Anyway, I went to a local fandom convention in Florida and got to meet a local artist who does some nature comics!

He uses the name “Beetle Moses” for his work. He told me that occasionally his work has blown up in circles of nature-inclined folks, like this one time he found out that wildlife enthusiasts in Finland had been sharing his work.

This might only make sense to folks in the US who read a certain classic novel

We read outside the US too :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Published in 1960.

I have been summoned!

Definitely one that only makes sense in English, though.

Yes the wordplay does not translate. I have read the book - but - so long ago! - need to read it again.

it has been translated into more than 40 languages - hence I think more people will know the reference… (Although I must say that it is still on my reading list, but at least I know another book from the author) :)

That book was published in 1960.

But 10 days ago a posthumous collection of her (smaller) work was published
