Nature-inspired Comics?

I just released a new The Bird Birds strip:

The Doctor posted this one on his FB page this morning, with the notation that it was for me, particularly. It’s pretty obvious that he’s listened to me grumbling about how birds know that I’m trying to get a photo and take that as a cue to vanish.

Is it just me that is uncomfortable with the targetted tone here? I understand the issues but…?

If you visit the webpage of the cartoonist I think it helps put it into context a bit – many of the cartoons are political and not meant to be funny, but to raise awareness. So discomfort is probably kind of the point.

will probably get deleted but – someone from our nature conservation has an arrested poacher with centipedes. Asked on the forum for a specialist to ID. And their post was promptly deleted. Not asking for an ID, but for a competent person to contact them. Whatever. No help from iNat.
Funny ? Awareness ?

Here’s one of my favorites (not that I agree with it).

Birds at Halloween.

From today’s Speedbump (by Dave Coverly).

When I was little, I jumped into a random pile of leaves right into some cat crap. Last time I ever did that.

How accurate

These are some older strips from my webcomic, The Bird Birds (forgive the typos):

(I accidentally made the director kind of a Golden Eagle x Red-tailed Hawk hybrid [he was supposed to be just a Golden Eagle].)

The rest of the latter arc (which doesn’t apply to the criteria for this thread):

The end of that quote

“Look at 3 of your friends. If they are not insects, there is a chance you are”

:)

I’ve aways wondered how birds carry out murmurations!
