We currently get notifications for any taxon changes that occur on observations we follow (typically observations we ID, comment on, or interact with in some way), whether or not we follow the affected taxa. Do you mean you want to be able to subscribe to notifications of taxon change drafts on groups where you don’t follow any observations?

Yep. The notifications are most important when they are drafted. Once the change has been made, it is too late to give feedback. The taxonomic uproar usually comes when there is a notification of a change that people could have provided feedback on but didn’t know about until after it happened. I added the word “draft” to my previous comment for clarification.
