Observations that could be Album covers

Okay this might be a little bit of a weird subject but I’m sure some of you have seen the twitter account Images that could be album covers. This is pretty much that.
The premise is simple, observations that through being dramatic, humorous, powerful, or otherwise would fit on an album cover. Here are some examples.

This observation of a Gyrfalcon in California is in the running:

But this picture of the same bird from kiwifoto.com might take the cake:

There’s certainly precedent with real album covers:

I tried to find a few of my own that I thought could work, here’s what I could come up with!

I feel like this Turkey Vulture I saw sitting on a church has major metal band vibes, or maybe Christian rock?

This guy may work well for some sort of punk album, perhaps with some sort of social/political commentary in the lyrics. I’m sure someone could make a metaphor out of this.

While unfortunately not my clearest spider photo, I’ve always loved the feel of this one. I think something like this could be great for songs that seem cutesy on the surface but with a subtly creepy undertone.

The Flaming Seagulls. I think they were a real band. ;-)

Definitely isn’t the clearest picture I’ve taken but the background is recognizable enough that anyone who knows the skyline of Indianapolis would probably think “that’s a cool looking album cover”
