Online workshop for sensitizing University/College staff and students to utilize iNaturalist

Hello there!

I am reaching out to see if the iNaturalist team would be interested in partnering with my institution to conduct an online workshop on how to use iNaturalist and its related features. The goal of this workshop is to raise awareness among naturalists in universities, colleges, NGOs, and other institutions about the value of iNaturalist and citizen science.

From my experience, many people at my institution, and even in the region and country, are not familiar with or utilizing citizen science, including iNaturalist in its various aspects. I am eager to share this knowledge and inspire others to engage with it!

Thank you :)

Tanzania. Might you consider filling out your profile with some information. What taxa (mostly birds ?) interests you, or what aspect of nature ? Also you can add your iNat profile link to this forum profile ?

I think @tiwane does this via Zoom. But perhaps with more and new staff that is now in someone else’s portfolio ?

iNat has a YouTube channel with their various training videos.
Insects for example with @carrieseltzer

Projects are also a way to reach active local observers and identifiers

are you aware of the iNat Ambassadors program? I think that’d provide you with the resources you might be looking for.
