Hummingbird?
Hi,
One day I tried a focus stacking of some Lycosidae on a pathway.
Of course it moved but this time my TG-6 didn’t drop the failed stacking, leaving me with this sort of fossil result :
There is also the photo I use as my profile picture, from this observation of a Marpissa muscosa who moved its front legs during a stacking sequence :
I can’t get the photo to upload for some reason, but does anyone else experience that thing where you’re trying to photograph ducks and they dive at the last moment, leaving you with photos of bird butt?
I just took about fifteen photos of this. Only included one of them in this observation
Duck butts can be good ID marks sometimes.
When I was a kid I once took almost a whole roll of duck butt.
I personally think that it’s a really cool photo! The only thing I see as “wrong” is that the brightness is a bit high.
I get at least one accidental shot of my body every time I go out on an iNaturalist hike.
Feet usually. I stand and or bend awkwardly to try to avoid it… IF I look in time. I did shadow me this morning, not looking at the big picture again!
Tried to take a picture of a cute bee and was quickly reminded that my phone is an Android and doesn’t like any sort of movement lol
They also absolutely refuse to focus on the thing right in front of them. No matter how much you yell at the screen.
The Kraken!
For anyone who isn’t already aware of it, there is a project for this: The Butt End of Nature ![]()
Tried to photograph the underside of a fungus on a log during my trail run this morning. I had a half a dozen variations on this theme before I got something semi useable. ![]()
