Pikas and climate change

An interesting (and potentially controversial) article about my favorite wild mammal: Pikas are adapting to climate change (High Country News). (Warning for those unfamiliar with pikas: it includes a link to one of the world’s cutest wildlife videos.)

The response of individual species to climate change is very difficult to predict, as ecological resilience is a complex interaction of behavioral and genetic diversity, community structure, and changing habitat distributions. This article looks at some of that complexity for an iconic species of montane western North America.
