@joseph_judy and others can you try again now to see if the suggestions are more reasonable? We found and fixed an issue.

For that one - I would add an ID of Odonata. Then, ask the CV to prompt me further. The CV suggestions can be odd if you are set to Seen Nearby, CV does the best it can with what has been observed locally. You can also toggle to Visually Similar, but then check twice on Distribution Maps.

I wonder why you have a map of Africa tho. Did you accidentally set the location to Africa on the screen?

No, I didn’t. It automatically showed that map.

Chaenostoma is one of our plants, so of the 3 of us, I would expect iNat to offer it to me, if at all. But it didn’t. Polycarena is also ours

Could you show an example? In some angles cv always suggest weird things, e.g. for this https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/144228893 photo all suggestions were of Xylocopa bees.
