I wonder if there is already a project dedicated to hose wild plants that colonize pavement, tarmac, and masonry? I’ve considered making one a few times, and searched a few times looking for one, but I don’t want to make one if one already exists.
If you find or create one, let me know! I love the urban biome.
You bet, I will! It is also my favorite biome :) https://urbpan.livejournal.com/tag/urban%20wildlife
This project might be pretty much what you’re interested in: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/the-sidewalk-botanist-scavenger-hunt-2020
That one is pretty interesting. I would not have expected it to be a collection project with a set species list. Thanks for sharing.
The Twitter hashtag #PavementPlants gets a fair amount of activity. It might be worth asking there if anyone is interested in a project.

This seems to be what you are looking for, but it doesn’t look very active.
I’m not a fan of the set species list, since part of the point of it would be to learn what species of plant make use of this habitat, with the potential for surprises, but thank you for alerting me to this!
Oh that’s pretty close–looks like it allows anything found on a sidewalk, which is an interesting take on it.
