Without specific details, like what is suggested in the bug report template, it’s difficult to diagnose an issue. Apologies. I am using the iNat app version 2.8.7, build 558 on an iPhone 7 running on iOS 14.1.

It turns out that I just had to update it. I am now using 3.0.6 and so far all seems fine.
