Subscription Notifications

I want to receive email notifications when observations are made for specified plant species in my home state (Wisconsin). The notifications I wish to set up would be for individual emerging invasive plants such as fig buttercup. Can someone help me learn the required protocol?

I have no idea with any of the apps, but if you’re on the website, go to your dashboard and scroll down. On the right there should be a section called ‘subscriptions’. You can subscribe to (1) a taxon, which will notify you of any observations uploaded with that ID anywhere in the world, or (2) a place, with optional taxon, which will notify you of any observations uploaded in that place, with a filter of a specific taxon if desired. You sound like you’d want (2), for a range of taxa (which can be at any level, kingdom to subspecies).

Note that this will only catch observations uploaded with the chosen ID. It won’t find any that are given that ID later, whether they started out with no ID, a higher level ID or a wrong ID. If you want to see those as well, you’ll need to do searches.

@mark_horn I replied to your support ticket, but did want to link here again, if anyone else comes across this question: https://help.inaturalist.org/en/support/solutions/articles/151000175262
