As @pisum said, it’s probably due to something int he photos’ file names or metadata, and iNat is automatically filling in the ID based on that and not using computer vision suggestions. @dagdagdiya Thanks for posting your bug report and welcome to the Forum! I merged your report with this existing one since it is a known issue and this report has notes for potential fixes.

I used Edge (ugh) for about a four weeks (admittedly in area with very bad internet), when I noticed an update to Firefox available. After running that update, this resolved itself. @dagdagdiya I’ve just done an upload through Firefox and it still working fine here. Check
