Taxon subscription should notify of all observations later given that ID

I’m not sure whether to call this a feature request or to be asking whether it exists in some way that I’m not aware of. I subscribe to various taxa but find that I still miss a lot of observations that don’t have that as the initial ID - either because the observer doesn’t add an ID until later or because the initial ID is much broader or wrong. I’d love to be notified any time someone adds an ID in the relevant taxon that changes the community ID - whether bringing it to the relevant taxon or providing it as a disagreeing ID. Is this available, or could it be made so?

I have bookmarked Identify filters for things like this. I think it would be a lot of work on the system to generate notifications like this.

I was kind of afraid that’s what I’d hear… :-) I have a gradually growing list of taxa I’m keeping track of, and having to (remember to) go through Identify regularly for each of them is definitely more complicated than just getting notified. It also doesn’t cover the case where an ID is suggested as a disagreeing ID and kicks an observation up to a higher level. But if it’s not possible or reasonably feasible, I guess that’s just the way it is.

you can search for these by using the ident_taxon_id= string in the URL

Thanks for the info - great to know. I obviously need to read the wiki through to find out what else I’m missing!

You can also string together multiple IDs in one URL, so you could check them all in one place.
