Tiny, beautiful, Philodoria moths

Beautiful short video from Nat Geo about trying to document endemic Philodoria moths in Hawaii:

I could only find two observations on iNat of this genus (but maybe there’s nomenclature issues, I don’t know)

The moth was sitting on a single flower within those flower heads of white clover (Trifolium repens)… just for your reference. So it was really really tiny. As you will notice, it had only been IDed as lepidoptera… due to the similarities to the moth in this video, I think getting it down to the superfamily is not a too far fetch… so thanks for that! But it does depict the problem, that in the very very tiny world the specialists get fewer and fewer. There might be observations of this species out there already, but just not labelled as such.
