Way to make blog widget show a Project's observations rather than observations from personal page?

This is the feature I am talking about: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/widget , as linked on the home page currently

Sorry if the answer is very obvious & I’m just unaware of it.

There are many projects associated with particular groups (ex: a natural society, a friends of such and such park group) & it would be nice to be able to directly embed the whole group’s project on related blogs/websites.

No. I think this would be better moved to feature requests. I can code some so can you give me the project and I will give you the code?

You can add ?project_id= and then the ID of your project, e.g. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/widget?project_id=84708

Some more details at previous topics like https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/inaturalist-web-widget/14415 and https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/documentation-for-observation-widget/11790

It seems there is a solution already, so I will try that first but thank you so much for offering!

Thank you! I am testing this now, I will need to make it work on a Weebly hosted site.

Ok just realized you meant add it as in to follow the URL that generates the thing, not trying to line edit the html myself using it (which hadn’t been working)

…meanwhile https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/widget?project_id=84708 seems to be working fine, including on my test weebly site so far. When it is added on the actual WMS website I will be able to say more.

I actually wouldn’t have known where to find my own projects’ ID #s so thank you for that as well!

How do you find the the project ID?

Try tacking .json onto the end of any iNaturalist URL and see what happens!
