Animals can be weird. As naturalists, we know that. And we probably have seen a lot of interesting moments. And we have definitely all been through some strange experiences thanks to them.
Here are a few of mine:

Don’t want to click the link? Well, here’s another. Recently, I went out to my backyard to take photos of animals when I noticed a hummingbird buzzing around a branch of my oak tree. And it landed! But, being in the middle of Arkansas summer, it was so humid my camera lense immediately fogged up. I wiped at it like crazy while still trying to get some pics. And I got them. That hummingbird was swathed in a haze of fog.
This Angled Pierrot just wouldn’t sit down! He kept on flying near some chicken poop for few whole minutes. All the time I was requesting him to just sit down! I should also mention that the species was then a lifer for me.
Finally he sat down and started sucking up the poop. I crept closer and closer. Once I got a decent shot, (with the proboscis visible), I was finally satisfied!
Haha, I feel that way with little yellows. They’ve GOT to fly around and around and around and around for what feels like hours before landing. Or you can find a whole collection on one odd rock. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/305831616
