Why aren't my observations showing in my project?

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): Inat Website

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : duckduckgo.

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/264359027

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: I posted several observations for Saratoga Springs California - these and more - https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/264359015

Step 2: They have not shown up in my project: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/wildlife-of-saratoga-springs-lake-county-california

Step 3: I wonder if other observers observations have not automatically posted to the project. The map shows about 620+ observations but our project only shows 539. I cannot seem to add the observations manually to the project.
Thanks, Joe Balestreri

Hi Joe,

It’s because the accuracy of those observations (the circle around the pin) has area that falls outside of the boundary box of the project place. You can read more about how accuracy interacts with project/place boundaries here: https://help.inaturalist.org/en/support/solutions/articles/151000169942

If you’re fairly certain about where you made those observations, you can edit them and increase the accuracy / decrease the accuracy circle so that they’re inside the boundary, then they should show up.
