Why did iNaturalist flag this as cultivated?

The following observation was flagged as cultivated by iNaturalist: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/45257988
I have no idea why and would be interested in getting some input here. There were a total of 5 observations of the species listed (incorrectly by users) as cultivated across all of iNaturalist and none from the country that the above observation occurs in.

Any ideas?

I don’t think iNaturalist flags observations as cultivated, does it?

It’s more likely someone flagged it. I think the comment stating that it is not cultivated and arose spontaneously is pretty clear, and I can see that it is no longer flagged as cultivated.

It was being auto-flagged as captive based on the genus ID, not the species ID. Lots of Euphorbias observed in Lima are planted. Time for people to observe more of the little wild ones. See related feature request to help find these potential false positives that the system voted on: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/find-observations-the-system-voted-as-not-wild/5070

Ok. That complicates things. I hope the feature request goes through. Thanks for the explanation!

Is there a way to sort by observations flagged by iNaturalist as cultivated?

not currently - that’s what I’m hoping will be implemented in that feature request
