When I saw my first North Western Ghats Vine Snake, I saw it disappear into bush and then however hard I tried, I could not see it. Just when I was about to leave, I somehow spotted a part if it’s body in a completely different part of the bush. two tailed spiders have already been posted a couple times in this thread but they are just so cool, heres one i saw in kenya

and one of my favourite camoflaged bugs, the jagged ambush bug, because when you look at their body plans they dont look very much like the carrot flowers i always find them on but EVERY time i spot one it takes me a few seconds to actually spy them (obs)

Phricta zwicka in Finch Hatton Gorge, Queensland Aus. I can’t believe I spotted this just walking past. It is actually much more visible in the photo than in real life.

This is a juvenile Pacific Ghost Crab Ocypode occidentalis. Challenging to find on the beach at the south end of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, unless it moves when one approaches!

I have a potential contender for the most camouflaged animal, so camouflaged that so far no one has any idea what it is, I only have videos of it , photos too but theyre useless, you cant spot it if it doesn’t move

Its in the centre, can somebody suggest how to link a video file or smth

You will need to upload it somewhere first like youtube. Did you see the underside? lots of things cover themselves in seaweeds/algaes etc.

Like this hairy seeweed crab is pretty common here, though easy to miss.
