Today I went to a local nature reserve, to try to find my first wild snake. All species of snakes are sadly really rare in my area (most people I know have never seen one), so I was happy to find one, even though the photo looks like the original loch ness monster photo (NOT my entry).
However, the european robins always have my back, and they are posing like some supermodels :) So I got some beautiful photos AND my first wild snake, what a wonderful day!

I also have a bluebird male photo for my contribution this week, though a mountain one (and without nearly as cool of a backstory lol). This was one of the most vibrant ones I’ve ever seen.

(Also, I was super pleased to get some shots of a northern watersnake today, which is a critter I’ve been trying to catch in our area for a couple years now! They’re common elsewhere in the country, but fairly rare to see where I live.)

Also, a little editing tip - DON’T OVERDO IT!
I see a lot of heavy vignettes and over-saturated photos on this page - Just let the photo breathe! When you edit, you should be trying to recreate what you saw with your own eyes, instead of trying to create something else.
