Ability to scroll through all new topics

I like the new forum and it has various useful features (such as voting) that the Google Groups don’t have. One feature I miss, however, is being able to quickly scroll through all new topics - the little “<” and “>” arrows at the top of the page, saying “2 of 99” etc.

Under Interface I’ve set my home page to “Unread”, but it’s still a bit cumbersome and involves more clicks to flick through all recent topics. Is it possible to provide this functionality, and do others agree it would be good to have?

It’s not quite the same, but you can click through the Suggested topics at the bottom. I would also prefer something more like the Google Group, but the Discourse developers somehow seem very opposed to a “Next/Previous” button: https://meta.discourse.org/t/suggesting-a-previous-next-topic-button/48233
