Add taxon_id to the spreadsheet when downloading check lists

When you download a checklist, using either of the download links on the page

You get no control over what data is exported, but inexplicably, in neither of the 2 is taxon_id included in the output. This would seem to be a core datapoint for any ability to use or integrate the data. Can it please be added to the generated extract.

Can you give an example for the use of taxon_id?

A couple suggested uses:

  1. If using the species list as part of a database analysis, the taxon_id is a guaranteed unique ID that can be used as a data table “key”.
  2. If using the list as a basis for further data queries via the APIs, many queries require taxon_id as a parameter rather than taxon name.
