Amazing convergent evolution

What are some pairs of organisms that despite being in different parts of the world or from different clades nonetheless have evolved remarkable similarities?

I think many people would assume that Camponotus mirabilis and Polyrhachis schellerichae are related. But, it seems like they are not. They have both evolved to nest in bamboo, but on different sides of the world. I’ve known about mirabilis for decades, it was one of the first ants that captured my imagination, when I saw schellerichae? I feel out of my chair.

What are some of your favorite convergent pairs?

I have a good friend of many decades in Kerala, and she and I often marvel at how our gardens share so many things, as if our peninsulas could reach out and touch.
