I noticed this a week or two ago, and sometimes the analysis finishes when it is quite minimal, but on the above change there is a tribe change in a subfamily with tens of thousands of observations and the analysis never finishes. I’ve tried different browsers and networks, so I don’t think this is a problem on my end. But it would be helpful to see if other curators can replicate.
Me too (Web/Firefox). I have a draft change that would subsume a subspecies (A) into another species (B). It has now been many hours (overnight) and has still not completed analyzing for disagreements.
Total observations for the parent node in common between A + B is a genus of stonecrops with 77,606 observations .
Same issue for me with a split I drafted recently: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/168923 (66k observations). On Google Chrome. The load sign appears briefly then disappears and nothing shows up.
The tool times out with too many atlas places. There’s no solution other than reducing the atlas complexity (e.g. collapsing counties to states) and tolerating more rollback of IDs where the atlases overlap
