Android app copies incorrect coordinates from observation

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): Android

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under Settings or About): 1.28.10 (563)

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/57426952

Description and screenshots of the problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: Open the observation in the mobile app.

Step 2: Tap on the map in the info tab.

Step 3: Another view opens that shows a map with the pinned location. Notice the coordinates are shown at the top of the page.

Step 4: Tap on the copy button in the header. A prompt is shown that the coordinates are copied.

Step 5: Check the coordinates that were just copied.

Expected result: The copied coordinates should match the actual coordinates of the observation.

Actual result: The copied coordinates do not match the actual coordinates of the observation.

That taxon is automatically obscured. Looks like the app is copying the public location, even though as the observer you have access to the actual coordinates. Here are the coordinates I see:

Can you please consider removing screenshots and text showing the true location? This species does appear to be threatened by hunting and trapping, although it’s not listed as a major threat. I’ll write up a bug report for this issue.

Thank you, @tiwane! I’ve edited the original post.

Cool, thanks. Also, we don’t generally something as “solved” until the fix is actually released to users.

FWIW this is working for me in the latest beta version.
