App or website for creating your own database by categories

As a diver, I use an app (MacDive) that serves as a dive log but also has a useful feature that allows you to create a library of the species you see (“critters”). And it grows as your observation grows and it’s a nice way to go through your own “discoveries”.

It easily identifies your knowledge for review and further research and its boundaries. I found that far more useful than I thought!

My question is: is there something similar (preferably an app) for all type of observations?

At the moment I use the iNaturalist app but the fact that I can’t easily classify my observations by taxonomic categories makes it very messy.
