I am wondering if there is any way to group my personal observations into categories such as mammals, wildflowers , snakes. I’ve not found any info on the site or quick forum searches. Thanks
You can’t keep them in groups forever, but you can use search function for those taxa you want. You also can use lists, but they contain taxa, not observations.

I think you could make collection projects for each category, with yourself as the only user.
