Do you do most of your iNaturalist submissions via the webpage instead of the mobile app? For Apple Photos users, there is a nice trick with the website route. If you have a photo on Apple Photos and have added a description to it, and then you export the photo and upload it to iNaturalist, that description exports to become the description in the iNat observation. (Be sure you have checked the option to export the description.) So a long note you have made for yourself about the observation or making an ID gets transferred to iNat without any copy-paste.
