I am going to college in Worcester MA and would like to know where I can see otters in the wild throughout the state and preferably in the central part. I did once see a scat near Burncoat Pond in Leicester but that was a year and a half ago. Any recommendations?

There are currently 122 observations of river otters in Mass. on iNat right now: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?locale=en&place_id=2&preferred_place_id=1&taxon_id=41777
That’d be a good place to start.

Looking at the map of iNat observations of otters in Massachusetts, it seems like Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge may be one of the best places to see otters in Mass. It’s also not too far from Worcester.
