I think that the bear is eating another one. I also noticed that the bear being carried looks kind of messed up around the legs, I don’t think any bear could survive with that

The bear is an adult male, and is sadly killing a female’s cubs, likely so it can mate with the female. This often happens with predatory mammals such as lions, leopards, etc.

Check out this bad to the bone looking one ! (This comically bright one is the one I’ve seen most often though.)

Changed my lens from a 100-500 mm zoom to a 24-70 mm zoom with an 18 mm extension tube in hopes of getting better photos of miniature orchids. Still working out the kinks but got this photo of a larger Cavendishia adenophora and really love the intricate details of the petals and bracts. [image]
