I’m an amateur bird photographer in Austin, I’ve been looking for Crested Caracaras for months now, where have y’all had luck seeing them?
Have you looked at the map of observations for this species? That shows observations all around Austin. I’m not familiar with the area, but a quick glance at that map shows that one hotspot for observations is at the Hornsby Bend Bird Observatory, on the southeast side of the city.
