I think it is great to encourage everyone to get outside and enjoy wildlife. I think that a general birding discussion thread is a great idea!
Maybe quoting and replying to multiple people at once should be encouraged more. For example, I can reply to a lot of people in just one post like this:
Thatās great, those birds sound amazing! I remember reading about hornbills for the first time when I was seven. I got this book called āBirds Do The Strangest Thingsā that explained a lot of really interesting habits of birds from all over. I also learned about Bowerbirds and Oil birds because of that book.
I saw some Dark Eyed Juncos this morning! I also had one by my quail coop, which was unusual.
I love that iNaturalist is connecting youth from all over the world to discuss nature. Using the quote function and encouraging others to do the same will help to make this discussion more readable.

There is a bird nest right on my door 
they donāt use it much anymore though.
There was a funny instance where a squirrel ran up and down a power line by my house, witch was at the time being guarded by a falcon haha
That is cool! Glad to have you on the thread. Iāve only seen an American kestrel they are actually a falcon too. I really want to see a Pergin falcon soon.
I have a few feathers Iāve collected. I keep them in a box along with some other assorted nature collectibles.
I canāt remember if we are aloud to collect feathers here in West Virginia. Iām thinking itās illegal on other properties other than your own. Iāll have to look into that.
