I went for a long (7.5km) hike today at my local CA, and I (finally!) managed to get the bird of the week.
I got Juncos and White-throated Sparrows.

I also got Dark-eyed Junco today, along with American Tree Sparrow.
A white cheeked barbet just visited my bird-pool!

I saw some kind of hawk or something today. It was fairly far off, and the pictures arenāt great, but Iām hoping it can be identified.

Eiders, Mandarins, Harlequins assemble!
Looks fine for Sharp-shinned Hawk! I downloaded the photo and played around with the editing settings, and I was able to make out some more ID features.
Ooh, thatās so cool! Iāve never seen one of those before. I very rarely see hawks!
