Description of problem:
A taxon split seems to have inadvertently made this blue jay into a rat snake. Wondering if this is a one-off or a wider problem.
I think you may have to flag the taxon itself? (Going by previous, similar threads about other taxon splits / changes run amok.)
That’s possible, I’ve been fortunate enough not to run into any bugs on iNat before so I wasn’t sure how to flag it. I should clarify, it’s not my observation, just noticed while trying to refer to some central rat snake photos.
The observation is for a snake, located above the Blue Jay in the first picture. The identifications before and after the split are both for Central Ratsnake, there is no bug here.

Haha, I am one of the few unqualified to say that was a blue jay, so the snake completely escaped me, hahahaha.
That’s why including notes is important although IDers don’t always read them. I’ve had some of my own observations misIDed despite explaining in the notes which organism is the subject.
