Can Collection Projects include only observations from active participation periods?

Is there a way to selectively include only the observations made during each member’s active participation period, while excluding their other observations from the same state and timeframe? Or are there alternative project structures that would better suit these needs?

Can’t do this within a single collection project. You could make a separate collection project for each participant and put them all under an umbrella project, but that would be a lot of work.
