Can external photos be embedded from Drive or Dropbox?

I’m working on a journal post to help people identify caterpillars and want to embed several external photos to illustrate it. I have uploaded the photos to both Google Drive and Dropbox and set the links so they are accessible to anyone:

But when I put this in the journal post

the preview shows

Can I embed the photos using either of these services? I really don’t want to have to make a flickr account or something.

Thanks! Dropbox worked when I followed their instructions + not putting the URL in quotes.
