Can no longer set a taxon as inactive and add a conservation status at the same time

When editing taxa, it appears you can no longer do both these updates at the same time. Trying to save it afterwards leads to a whale shark 500 failure report.

Example

Attempt to edit https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/1263308-Abadiella
Set as Inactive as it is an extinct taxa
Attempt to add conservation status of EX with source Fossilworks, URL http://fossilworks.org/bridge.pl?a=taxonInfo&taxon_no=19347

Attempt to save, leads to whale shark.

Have had same issue with other updates, so it is not something funky about this taxon.

What should happen is an error telling me I can’t set the genus to inactive when it has active children which are active.

I suspect somehow that error is getting intercepted and then the process goes boom.
