Description of problem: I’d like to withdraw these two draft taxon changes (as I’ve successfully withdrawn others), but I’m getting an error message and can’t withdraw them.
Step 1: Go to the above links
Step 2: Hit “Edit” in the upper right
Step 3: Hit “Withdraw” at the bottom
Step 4: Hit “Okay” when pop-up asks if you’re sure
Step 5: Observe the “Sorry, that doesn’t exist!” error page
The problem has persisted across a few days; I’ve been successfully withdrawing other taxon changes in the interim. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I may be wrong but, for changes that require curator votes to approve, I think withdrawing only works for changes that have been already been submitted for voting, and it takes them back to the equivalent of draft status. The two examples you gave currently show draft status. I think “withdrawing” a draft would be the same as just deleting the taxon change, which I’m guessing you could still do on your examples.
If all of my assumptions are correct, then the bug is that the Withdraw button should not be shown on taxon changes that are in draft mode, only the Delete button.
Yep, I see what you are saying, verified by “restoring” the first one you listed, seeing that it showed “draft” status, then successfully withdrawing it again. So the bug is more complicated.
Both errors started before the 22 April content freeze date (18 April & 20 April), and I was successfully withdrawing other drafts in the days thereafter. So perhaps, but seems unlikely.
