We heard back from our municipality’s organics recycling coordinator about guidance for rinsing our composting bin between weekly pick-ups:
“My guidance on this has been to rinse into your grass, which will naturally filter out debris.” It was also touted as, “a more natural fertilizer than the chemical substances.”
