As a frequent user of Ebird and Inaturalist, a feature I would love to see make the leap from the former to the latter is a previously observed filter or “needs list”. This would be a way to help users locate and identify species they have in their area that they have not yet seen, or introduce them to areas with new species when they travel. I’m aware this can be accomplished through modifying the URL, but this is extremely clunky and slow, and seems like it would be a relatively quick add to the default filter list.
If you have the Android app, the “Missions” feature can do some of this.
