Display board and tri-fold

Hello. Wasn’t sure everyone had seen this cool board you can get for free. I wasn’t sure I would be eligible as an iNaturalist Ambassador, but it worked! Also wanted to share a tri-fold display board I made for our upcoming Earth Day community event co-hosted by Girl Scouts and MN Master Gardeners.

Welcome to the forum!
That’s a good idea, and I never would have thought of it.
I’ve never seen a board like the black one; where did you get it?
I’m sure I have some unused cardboard tri-fold boards stashed away, from the days when my kids often had to make them for school, and I have no shortage of paper, glue, and art supplies.
Oh, what fun!

Neat! I have been wanting to let our local orgs know about those signs. I would love to see a larger picture of the trifold if you don’t mind sharing - I’m currently in the process of making one for an event table.

Hi all, the A-frame sign pictured above came from iNaturalist’s partnership with the Association of Science and Technology Centers’ Seeding Action Program. I’ll make a more detailed forum post about this soon, but public-facing organizations can order a free informational iNaturalist sign through Seeding Action: https://seeding-action.org/inaturalist/.

The board was a great visual and I am happy it had the QR code for a direct link. I am still having issues with the boards not staying in place and I wish the QR code was at the top of the board and not the bottom. That was hard for adults to get down that low to scan it!

Thanks so much, lovely!

Very nice!

Another very low cost display option that I’ve used is an old digital photo frame. I picked up an 11 inch display at the local thrift store for under 10 dollars and loaded my digital slide show on an SD card then set it up to a continuous loop.

If you put it on your classroom desk or table and rotate new shots in weekly, it can generate a lot of questions and engagement.
