I created a project about wildlife in Zoo Dortmund, my problem is, that the area of Dortmund Zoo isn’t correct. It’s smaller in reality than the area mentioned on iNaturalist. I tried to contact the creator of that area-entry, but it seems, that the creator isn’t active on iNaturalist anymore. To get the most accurate data, I have to edit the location somehow to adjust the size. Does anybody how? I already flagged the location to speak with a mod about the specific topic, but nothing happened.
Another option would be to just create another KML file yourself (with a similar but not identical name) and change the “place” of the project to your file. But keep in mind that for a small area like a zoo ground, it may be a good idea to add a little buffer around the property in your file (maybe this is what the previous creator did) so as to include observations near the edge that have an uncertainty bubble around them. There’s not usually much danger of including items that are outside the zoo.
